Los Lagos Ranch is a private, members only ranch near Nederland, CO. It’s home to 6 lakes, all of which are stocked with at least 4 different types of fish. Members are allowed to fish these lakes, and can catch-and-release or take the caught fish to eat.
In past years, Los Lagos had to have members fill out a physical check-in form upon entering the property, and then had to fill a physical catch report upon leaving, detailing all fish caught and whether each fish from each lake was caught and released or caught and kept. Then, Los Lagos staff had to manually input all of this data in a spreadsheet to keep track of all catches.
We created a progressive web app to allow members to fill out a digital catch-report form, and the data from these form submissions gets automatically input into a cloud-based spreadsheet. This removed 100% of the manual data-entry labor from Los Lagos staff. Their spreadsheets, both for check-in data and catch-reports, are automatically sorted, filtered, and updated upon each form submission, so the most prevalent data is always easily accessible.
Scope
An Advanced Multi-Step Automation Sequence
Step 1
Webform filled and submitted by the user (anyone checking in to fish and anyone checking out and submitting a custom catch-report).
Step 2
Data is automatically parsed to allow for conversion into a spreadsheet.
Step 3
Parsed data from the webform submission hits the spreadsheet automatically upon submission. In the sheet, data is automatically organized for easy review.
